High School Team: DeSmet Jesuit High

 

What can you say about Junior Forward Drew Vandas that hasn't been said already?  He has been named to as many "All-Region" and "All-American" teams than anyone in Truman Inline history.  His scoring threat is unreal.  He seems almost automatic around the net.  His size and reach give him a decided advantage on the boards.  He plays a solid defensive game.  And his shot is absolutely one of the best in the league.  It is no wonder that he has lead the team in goals for the last two years, and probably would have his freshman year if he had played first semester.   And yet with all these individual skills, he still plays a solid team game and provides leadership on a team full of leaders.  A player like Vandas is one that any team would be lucky to have.
