Swedish-born senior Marcus "Swede" Davidsson is back for his fourth year representing the Tar Heels, this time wearing the captain's "C" on his chest.  A stalwart on defense, Davidsson is sure to make opposing forwards pay the price in front of the Tar Heels' net.  An unsuspecting offensive threat at times, Davidsson also will be looking to add to his two game-winning goals from last season.

October 8, 2006:  Marcus Davidsson scored the first hat-trick of his collegiate career against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, leading the Tar Heels to a 5-2 victory.
