Thursday, April 3rd at the 2025 National Collegiate Roller Hockey Championships was action-packed, and the intensity started growing as Division 1, 2 and 3 round robin completed. In Division 1, Rowan prevailed 6-4 over Arizona, while Grand Canyon narrowly defeated Arizona State 3-2. Lindenwood came in with a commanding 12-1 victory over Henry Ford College, followed by a 5-2 win over Grand Canyon. Arizona State edged out Rowan 3-2 in overtime, and Arizona defeated Henry Ford College 9-6. Lindenwood rounded out the day with a 5-2 victory over Grand Canyon. Lindenwood and Grand Canyon earned the top seeds in Division 1, and get a bye Friday, into the semifinals on Saturday afternoon. Arizona faces Arizona State and Henry Ford faces Rowan in Thursday’s quarterfinal matchups.
In Division 2, Quinnipiac edged out Endicott 4-3, while Farmingdale dominated Cal Poly 8-4. Neumann squeaked past Michigan State with a 6-5 win, and Temple fell 9-3 to Colorado. Hofstra kept their momentum going with a 5-0 victory over Massachusetts. Robert Morris defeated Quinnipiac 3-2, while Slippery Rock blanked Boston 4-0. Florida edged out Cal Poly Pomona 6-5, and Northeastern secured a 4-3 shootout win over Ohio State. Endicott narrowly beat Farmingdale 5-4, while Michigan State cruised to an 8-4 victory against CSU Fullerton. Neumann won 6-5 in a shootout against Cortland, and Robert Morris edged out Cal Poly 2-1. At the end of round robin, it was Slippery Rock, Neumann and Robert Morris going undefeated and earning the top spot in their pools. The end of the night featured the first game of the single-elimination playoff bracket, with Endicott getting the 4-2 win against Boston.
In Division 3, Stony Brook held on for a 3-2 win over Florida Gulf Coast, and Oswego defeated Yeshiva 4-2. Tampa took down Rhode Island 5-2, while Colorado crushed Temple 9-3. Hofstra shut out Massachusetts 5-0, and Florida Gulf Coast defeated Temple 6-3. Loyola Marymount fell 8-7 to Illinois State in a back-and-forth game, and Colorado had an easy 7-0 win over Stony Brook. Kennesaw State won 6-4 against Maryville, and RIT defeated Vermont 8-3. Tampa, Florida, Colorado and Hofstra all went undefeated in their respective pools. The Division 3 bracket begin Friday morning at 10am!
The AA Division starts on Friday morning with 7am round robin matchups – Grand Canyon vs. Slippery Rock and Michigan State vs. Arizona.
